Lactofoal – Formula milk – Foal – 2,2 Kg – AUDEVARD

Lactofoal AUDEVARD is a mother's milk for colts. In case of foal orphan, insufficiency of lactation from Mare or need food post-weaning, it is essential to have a mother's milk specially formulated for foal.

Lactofoal was formulated by Laboratories AUDEVARD to precisely reproduce the characteristics of the mare's milk.

The formula LACTOFOAL is tailored to the specific needs of foal : protein and fat levels specific to the equine species; optimal protein quality; contribution of pro- and prebiotics. It comes in the form of a powder whose dissolution in water is optimal.

AUDEVARD laboratory advice

Always have a box of LACTOFOAL available as foaling season approaches. LACTOFOAL can be added to the foal's daily ration during the first 2 months of weaning (500 g per day then reduce the amount gradually).

How to use

Dilute 2 measures of the product in 1 liter of lukewarm water. Shake well to obtain a fluid mixture.

Give the milk to the foal at around 35°C. Milk prepared in advance can be kept for 24 hours in the refrigerator. The quantities to be given are to be adapted according to the breed and the state of health of the foal. Gradually adapt the quantities and frequency based on the indications given below:

Day 1: 8 liters of milk per day (1 liter every 3 hours),
Day 10: 12 liters of milk per day (2 liters every 4 hours or 25% of body weight in reconstituted milk per day),
1 month: 15 liters of milk per day (3 liters every 5 hours)
Between the 3rd and 4th month, gradually switch to dry food and wean the foal.

Post-weaning feed supplement for foals: pour 10 measures of LACTOFOAL per day and gradually reduce the quantities.
