Before first use:
Thoroughly clean all items in the breastfeeding kit.

Preparing the bottle:

  1. Pour the required hot water (ideally bottled or boiled) into a clean baby bottle. For optimal dissolution of the powder, the water should be at 60°C. Then add the level scoops of powder according to the quantities indicated (see table below).
  2. Select the appropriate teat size for your pet and attach it to the bottle with the attachment ring.
  3. Mix by pressing lightly on the teat. Let the milk cool to a temperature of 30 to 35°C to avoid any risk of burns.
  4. Adjust the milk flow to make suckling easier (1: slow / 2: medium / 3: fast).
  5. Do not reuse any remaining milk after the animal has finished drinking.
  6. Clean the bottle, nipple and ring after each use.

Distribution:
The quantities of milk to be distributed are given as an indication. At each meal, allow the animal to drink until satiety. Animals generally adjust their consumption according to their needs.

Remarks:

  • For very young animals, moisten the lips with a few drops of milk to trigger the suckling reflex.
  • From the third week, if the animal can lap, give it the milk in a bowl. Throw away the remaining milk after each feeding.
  • From the fourth week, for the transition to solid food, consult your veterinarian.

Small domestic mammals (ferret, dwarf rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, gerbil, chinchilla, octodon, rat, mouse, etc.):
Feed 1 to 2 mL of milk every 1 to 2 hours during the first week of life. Then, gradually space out meals while increasing the quantities distributed.

Additional tips:

  • Let the animal drink until it is full, it will know how to adapt the quantity to its needs.
  • When the first teeth appear, it is recommended to stop bottle feeding.
  • Check the animal's growth regularly by weighing it.
  • If you have any questions regarding your pet's diet, do not hesitate to consult your veterinarian.
