Le Milprazin Small Dog and Puppy KRKA is a vermifuge for small dogs and puppies from 0,5 to 10 kg. The broad spectrum vermifuge allows fight against nematodes (towards flat) and the tapeworms (towards round) dog and puppy.

The tablets deworming for dogs Milprazin small dogs and puppies de 0,5 to 10 kg are small in size and are beef flavored for easy application.

Milprazin Small Dog and Puppy KRKA is indicated in small dogs and puppies from 0,5 to 10 kg for the treatment of mixed infestations by the immature and adult stages of the following cestodes and nematodes:

- Cestodes (flatworms): Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus multilocularis, Mesocestoides spp.

- Nematodes (roundworms): Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascar leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Crenosoma vulpi, Angiostrongylus vasorum, Thelazia callipaeda

The veterinary medicinal product may also be used in the prevention of cardiac dirofilariosis (Dirofilaria immitis) when concomitant treatment against cestodes is necessary.

How to use

Oral use, during or after the meal.

Depending on the body weight of the dog or puppy, the dose to be administered is as follows:

Body weight:

0,5 - 1 kg: 1/2 tablet
> 1 – 5 kg: 1 tablet
> 5 – 10 kg: 2 tablets

The minimum recommended dose is 0.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg body weight, in a single dose.

Precautions for use

Do not use in dogs or puppies weighing less than 5 kg.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.

The veterinary medicinal product may be used in breeding dogs, including pregnant or lactating bitches.

Wash hands after use.

In the event of accidental ingestion of the tablets, particularly by a child, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician.

It is recommended to treat all animals living in the same household concomitantly.

CAUTION ON RELATED COLLEY AND RACE RACE *

Some studies have shown that the margin of safety for milbemycin oxime is lower in some dogs of the Collie breed and related breeds. For these breeds of dogs, it is recommended to strictly observe the dosage. The tolerance of the specialty has not been studied in young puppies of the Collie breed and related breeds. The clinical signs in the event of an overdose are identical in dogs of the Collie breed to those observed in other breeds of dogs (see section “Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), if necessary”).
