Weight

  • Active ingredient: pure oxalic acid dihydrate
  • Dosage: 1g of oxalic acid dihydrate is equivalent to 0.71g of oxalic acid anhydride
  • Formulation: Pure powder without residue

Varroxal must be used for winter treatment at an outside temperature between 2°C and 10°C maximum. Varroxal can also be used in young colonies without capped brood, nuclei, swarms or artificial swarms.

Do not use Varroxal that in colonies without brood, theoxalic acid has no effect in capped brood cells.

Varroxal is delivered in two packaging: in a resealable box of 75 g, including a measuring spoon, or in a package of 10 sachets of 2 g each. One box is enough for up to 75 applications in one hive or 37 applications in two-body or Dadant hives. The content of a 2 g sachet is exactly sufficient for application in a large capacity hive.

Do not carry out treatment in the event of bee flight. During the summer treatment, the maximum effectiveness was obtained after caging the queen for 25 days, because at that time the bee colonies were completely free of brood.

Do not apply during a honey flow or with the presence of honey enhancers.
