What molecules are contained and how do they act?

Vector 3D contains a unique combination of three active substances:

  1. Dinotefuran (54 mg/ml) : This insecticide, belonging to the neonicotinoid family, acts in a unique way by binding irreversibly to acetylcholine receptors in the nervous system of insects. This process induces nervous hyperexcitability, thus leading to rapid death of the parasites.
  2. Pyriproxyfen (5 mg/ml) : As an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), it is released into the environment from treated dogs, such as hair, skin debris and dust. It disrupts the development of immature stages of fleas, such as eggs and larvae, preventing eggs from hatching and becoming adults. Additionally, it has been proven to sterilize female fleas that are ready to lay eggs, hindering their ability to lay eggs.
  3. Permethrin (397 mg/ml) : As an acaricide and insecticide, Permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid, enters the body of insects through contact. It has several levels of activity: it acts as a repellent, causes a knock-down effect and eliminates a wide variety of parasitic arthropods, such as insects and mites. Parasites react in different ways when they come into contact with Permethrin: they avoid treated surfaces, attempt to escape and can also experience a knock-down effect when exposed to a sufficient dose, thus leading to their elimination.

To summarize : Vector 3D acts by simple contact, without the need for a sting or bite. The parasites, as soon as they land on the dog, come into contact with the treated skin and hair, thus exposing the active ingredients of Vector 3D and causing their insecticidal/acaricidal action.

Prepare to apply the treatment to your dog in optimal conditions of comfort. Gently part the hairs to free the skin and make it clearly visible. Position the pipette tip directly on your dog's skin. Hold the applicator firmly against the skin and draw a straight, continuous line from the base of the tail to the area between the animal's shoulder blades.

Be sure to squeeze the applicator tube until it is completely empty to ensure complete administration of the product.

Once the treatment has been applied, it is recommended to wait until the application area is completely dry before allowing your treated dog to approach fabrics or furniture. Ideally, administer the treatment in the evening or before going outdoors. Avoid petting your treated dog for at least four hours after administering the product. Additionally, for the night of treatment, it is best that your dog does not share the bed with you, especially if you have children.
