Animalintex veterinary poultice by Audevard is a veterinary dressing containing boric acid, widely used in horses and other species.

Grooming requires the use of dressings and bandages suited to the horse's anatomy.

Animalintex has several uses:

• Dry: highly absorbent. It is therefore particularly recommended for weeping wounds.
• Cold: cold has a vasoconstrictive effect that is beneficial in cases of laminitis or bleeding. It also plays an analgesic role (soothes pain) and is therefore used for tendinitis, sprains or splints.
• Hot: heat causes vasodilation, which provides a better supply of white blood cells and oxygen, favouring good healing. Heat also promotes vascular permeability, for better drainage. It is therefore used in particular for abscesses, thrush, street nail, lymphangitis, windgalls or bedsores.
