Fiprokil is an antiparasitic that treats infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus). The insecticidal efficacy against new flea infestations persists for up to 8 weeks.

The acaricidal efficacy of this antiparasitic persists for up to 4 weeks against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus). If ticks of certain species (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus) are present at the time of product application, they may not all be killed within the first 48 h, but may be within the first week.

The product can be integrated into a therapeutic programme for the treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) if this has been previously diagnosed by the veterinarian.

What is the best flea treatment?

A dominant question as many treatments exist. There are almost as many antiparasitics as there are forms: collar, spray, tablets, pipettes (spot-on) or even shampoo. The only thing Produits-veto can commit to is that an antiparasitic treatment is not universal, it depends on the level of infestation, the animal, its breed, its allergies (a collar can for example trigger redness). How to radically eliminate fleas?

If only we had a magic wand... If your dog has fleas, this means its environment has them too. That is why we recommend:

1. Prevent flea infestation: A preventive treatment on your animal helps prevent rather than cure.
2. In case of infestation, treat the environment: Using manual or automatic diffusers in your home.
3. Clean your home: Vacuum your floors, carpets, curtains, sofas and armchairs then wash your cushions and bed linens.

How to find a flea nest?

At the top of a tree, right? Well, joking aside, you can visually tell if your animal is contaminated if you find small black droppings on its head and neck. As with your child, a comb can also help you with the task.
