Frontline - Spot On Chat - Anti-puces chat - 3 pipettes - BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM

A reliable antiparasitic solution for lasting protection of your cat

FRONTLINE Spot-On Chat 3 pipettes is a veterinary antiparasitic medicine intended for the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas, ticks and biting lice in cats from 12 weeks of age. Presented as pipettes for cutaneous application, this treatment works by contact thanks to fipronil, without diffusion into the bloodstream.

Frontline Spot On - Chat - Elue marque de l'année

Each application provides even protection of the skin and coat. The active substance naturally spreads over the cat's entire body, ensuring fast and targeted efficacy against external parasites.

Developed by Boehringer Ingelheim, FRONTLINE Spot-On has been one of the most widely used antiparasitic solutions in veterinary medicine for many years.

Action and efficacy of FRONTLINE Spot-On Chat

An insecticidal and acaricidal action by contact

Fipronil acts directly on the nervous system of external parasites. This mode of action leads to their rapid elimination after application, while respecting the physiological balance of the cat. Parasites do not need to bite to be eliminated, which limits the risk of transmission.

Fast and targeted efficacy

  • Elimination of fleas in less than 24 hours
  • Elimination of ticks in 24 to 48 hours
  • Action against biting lice
  • Complete diffusion over the skin in 24 to 48 hours

FRONTLINE Spot-On Chat can also be included in a management protocol for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), after confirmation of the diagnosis by a veterinarian.

A 3-pipette format for continuous protection

The 3-pipette pack provides several weeks of antiparasitic protection. It is particularly suited to cats regularly exposed to parasites, especially those with outdoor access or living in groups.

This format makes it easier to implement a regular preventive programme, a key element in limiting recurring infestations.

Use in pregnant or lactating queens

FRONTLINE Spot-On Chat can be used in queens during gestation or lactation, in accordance with veterinary recommendations. This tolerance ensures continuity of antiparasitic protection in sensitive situations.

Frequently asked questions about flea treatments for cats

What is the best flea treatment for cats?

There is no single solution suited to all cats. The choice depends on the animal's lifestyle, environment, parasite pressure and skin sensitivity. Spot-on pipettes such as FRONTLINE are often preferred for their ease of use and targeted efficacy. Veterinary advice is recommended, especially for first-time use.

How to effectively eliminate fleas?

An antiparasitic treatment is only fully effective if combined with management of the environment. In case of infestation, it is advisable to:

  • Set up a regular treatment on the cat
  • Treat the environment with suitable solutions
  • Thoroughly vacuum floors, rugs, sofas and skirting boards
  • Wash textiles in contact with the animal

Without treating the environment, the risk of reinfestation remains high.

How can I tell if my cat has fleas?

Fleas can sometimes be difficult to observe directly. However, their droppings are more visible. They appear as small black grains, often found on the head, neck or base of the tail. Using a fine-toothed comb can help confirm their presence.
