Myostem Protec - Muscular resistance for horses
MYOSTEM PROTEC is a complementary feed formulated by Laboratoires AUDEVARD for muscular resistance. Designed to support preparation for sporting effort and recovery from it, MYOSTEM PROTEC promotes the muscular resistance of the athletic horse (anti-oxidants, amino acids...).
After exertion, muscle cells are more or less damaged depending on the horse's ability to manage the free radicals induced by the effort. In order to protect muscle cells against this phenomenon known as oxidative stress and to allow better recovery, the horse has two anti-radical defence mechanisms:
- the enzymatic level
- the nutritional level through the intake of anti-oxidants
The MYOSTEM PROTEC formula is a genuine innovation as it provides SOD (SuperOxide Dismutase), an anti-oxidant enzyme present in the horse's body, along with classic anti-oxidants in high concentration such as vitamin E and selenium.
Advice from the Audevard laboratory
If you detect muscular sensitivity, use MYOSTEM PROTEC 2 to 3 weeks before a competition and continue throughout the season. To further optimise the recovery and consistency of a horse, we recommend using MYOSTEM PROTEC with EKYRENAL+.
