The Perfikan is to be used during infestations by fleas and/or ticks, when a repellent activity (anti-feeding) against sand flies and/or mosquitoes is also required.

For fleas: for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). Fleas on the dog are killed within 24 hours following treatment. A single treatment has a persistent efficacy against new infestations by adult fleas for four weeks. The product can be integrated into a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) once this condition has been diagnosed by a veterinarian beforehand.
For ticks: Treatment of tick infestations Ixodes ricinus. A single application provides 4 weeks of persistent acaricidal efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus).

If ticks of the species Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus are present at the time of application, they may not all be killed within 48 hours.

Sand flies and mosquitoes (repellent only): A single treatment provides repellent activity (anti-feeding) against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti) for four weeks.

What is the best flea treatment?

A key question since many flea treatments exist. There are almost as many anti-flea products as there are forms: collar, spray, tablets, pipettes (spot-on) or even shampoo. The only thing Produits-veto can commit to is that a flea treatment is not universal, it depends on the level of infestation, the animal, its breed, its allergies (a collar can for example trigger redness). How to radically eliminate fleas?

If only we had a magic wand. If your cat or your ferret has fleas, this means its environment has them too. That is why we recommend:

Prevent flea infestation: A preventive treatment on your animal helps to prevent rather than cure.
In case of infestation, treat the environment: Using manual or automatic diffusers in your home.
Clean your home: Vacuum your floors, carpets, curtains, sofas and armchairs then wash your cushions and bed linens.

How to find a flea nest?

At the top of a tree, no? All joking aside, you will be able to tell visually if your animal is contaminated if you find small black droppings on the head and neck. As with your child, a comb can also help you with the task.
