The fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and sandflies can transmit pathogenic micro-organisms through a simple bite or sting, thereby putting your dog's health at risk.

The Vectra 3D pipette acts quickly on contact with the skin, with an effective repellent effect, thus offering broad protection against the main parasites. Its unique applicator allows for easy application even on dogs with long or dense coats, ensuring complete protection.

The parasites are eliminated on contact with Vectra 3D, without even needing to feed on your animal. With a single monthly application, your dog benefits from continuous protection.

Vectra 3D is available in 5 dosages suited to your dog's weight, thus offering a tailored solution for each animal. This external treatment can be used from 7 weeks of age and from 1,5 kg of weight.

What molecules does it contain and how do they work?

Vectra 3D contains a unique combination of three active substances:

1. Dinotefuran (54 mg/ml): This insecticide, belonging to the neonicotinoid family, acts in a distinctive way by binding irreversibly to acetylcholine receptors in the nervous system of insects. This process induces nervous hyperexcitability, leading to rapid death of the parasites.
2. Pyriproxyfen (5 mg/ml): As an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), it spreads into the environment from treated dogs, such as through hair, skin debris and dust. It disrupts the development of immature flea stages, such as eggs and larvae, thereby preventing eggs from hatching and developing into adults. In addition, it has been proven to sterilise female fleas ready to lay eggs, thus hindering their ability to lay eggs.
3. Permethrin (397 mg/ml): As an acaricide and insecticide, permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid, penetrates the insects' bodies by contact. It has several levels of activity: it acts as a repellent, causes a knock-down effect and eliminates a wide variety of parasitic arthropods, such as insects and mites. Parasites react in different ways when they come into contact with permethrin: they avoid treated surfaces, attempt to escape and may also suffer a knock-down effect when exposed to a sufficient dose, thereby leading to their elimination.

To summarise: Vectra 3D acts by simple contact, without the need for a bite or sting. As soon as parasites land on the dog, they come into contact with the treated skin and hair, thereby exposing them to the active ingredients of Vectra 3D and triggering its insecticidal/acaricidal action.
